Beijing reaffirms commitment to expanding ties with Azerbaijan
President of China Xi Jinping has congratulated Azerbaijan on its Independence Day, highlighting the growing strategic partnership between the two countries and reaffirming Beijing’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation with Baku.
In his message to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Xi conveyed his “sincere congratulations and best wishes” to the president and the people of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports via state media.
“Dear Mr. President,
I have the honor to extend to you, and through you to the friendly people of Azerbaijan, my sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the Independence Day of Azerbaijan,” the Chinese leader said.
Xi noted that China and Azerbaijan are comprehensive strategic partners and emphasized that bilateral ties have continued to deepen under the leadership of both presidents.
“Under our joint planning and leadership, China-Azerbaijan relations have reached a new level, and cooperation across various fields has yielded significant results,” he stated.
The Chinese president also stressed the importance Beijing attaches to relations with Baku and expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation.
“I attach great importance to the development of China-Azerbaijan relations and stand ready to make joint efforts with you to maintain high-level momentum in our bilateral relations for the benefit of the peoples of both countries,” Xi said.
Concluding the message, the Chinese leader wished Azerbaijan “prosperity and strength” and extended wishes of “happiness and well-being” to its people.
