Demand for oil, gas industry specialists ups in Russia

Demand for specialists in Russia’s oil and gas sector from January to August 2023 increased by 43 per cent compared to the same period in 2022.

"In January-August 2023, companies from the oil and gas industry opened 127.6 thousand vacancies, which is 43 per cent more than in the same period last year," the research of the HeadHunter platform said, TASS reports.

The majority of such vacancies were opened in Moscow - 9 per cent, then in St. Petersburg - 6 per cent, in third place - Ufa with 4 per cent.

The most scarce specialities in the oil and gas sector were turners, fitters and welders.
