Envoy vows big opportunities for German firms in Karabakh’s revival
German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann has said that he sees great opportunities for German companies in liberated Karabakh.
Horlemann made the remarks at a general meeting of the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce’s (AHK Azerbaijan) members, Report informs.
“I see great opportunities for German companies and investors in many areas, especially in the restoration of the Karabakh economic region,” the envoy stressed.
Emphasising the importance of economic ties between the two countries, Horlemann said that Azerbaijan is an important economic partner for Germany in the region.
About 90 business representatives attended the meeting and the AHK Azerbaijan Board elected new members. Farid Isayev, chairman of the Chamber Board, gave the event's opening remarks.
During the meeting, the Chamber’s Executive Director Tobias Baumann spoke about the activities of the structure, including the achievements of the past years and projects planned for the future.
“Over the past six months, that is, since the last membership meeting, 12 new companies have joined AHK Azerbaijan. Currently, 175 German and Azerbaijani companies representing various economic sectors are members of the chamber,” Baumann said.
