Erdogan hails Karabakh liberation as new chapter for the region
The liberation of Karabakh, after almost three decades of occupation, has ushered in a new chapter for the region, according to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Speaking at a special event in Ankara to celebrate the international Novruz holiday, Erdogan reflected on the transformative impact of Karabakh’s liberation, noting that it marked a significant turning point for both the region and its people, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
He also highlighted the close ties between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, recalling how Azerbaijan was one of the first to offer assistance to Türkiye following the devastating earthquakes on February 6, 2023.
Erdogan emphasized that unity is the greatest asset for the Turkic world, which has only grown stronger in recent years. This unity, he said, has been key in fostering cooperation across many sectors.
The Turkish president concluded by expressing his belief that the brotherly nations of the Turkic world would collaborate to build a new global order, one with the Turkic world at its heart.
