Estonia to ban entry for Russians with Schengen visas issued by Tallin

The Estonian Foreign Ministry has announced the decision to close the borders for Russian citizens despite having Schengen visas issued by Tallin.

Some exceptions are expected to come out of the decision, Kommersant reports.

Earlier, the European Commission reported that the EU countries are discussing possible visa restrictions for Russians. It particularly was Estonian President Kaja Kallas who spoke out for a ban on Schengen visa issuance. He said that travelling to Europe is "a privilege, not a human right."
