The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 12:43 a.m. eastern time from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Approximately one hour after liftoff, the satellites were successfully deployed from the rocket’s second stage into their designated orbit.
The mission deployed a batch of 23 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit, including 13 equipped with direct-to-cell capabilities. These satellites will join the expanding Starlink constellation, which provides high-speed, low-latency internet coverage worldwide.
The first-stage booster, on its 21st flight, safely returned to Earth and landed upon the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which was awaiting it in the Atlantic Ocean.
