First ladies of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan visit rehabilitation centre PHOTO

The first ladies of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan visited the Altyn Balalyk rehabilitation centre in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata, where they toured the facility, met with children and took part in a ceremony celebrating friendship between the three nations.

Uzbekistan's First Lady Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, accompanied by Azerbaijan's First Vice President and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and Kyrgyzstan's First Lady Aigul Japarova, viewed the centre's activities, attended educational workshops for its residents and spoke with the children, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.

The visitors also watched performances by the Shattyk National Dance Ensemble and young musicians playing the traditional Kyrgyz komuz. An exhibition featuring clay and felt handicrafts created by students of the Akylman Lyceum for Gifted Children was also presented.

The first ladies toured the beach area and an art gallery displaying works by young artists, including winners of international children's art competitions from Uzbekistan.

One of the symbolic highlights of the visit was the completion ceremony of the felt mural "Tree of Friendship," dedicated to the friendship and cultural ties between the peoples of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.

At the conclusion of the visit, Mirziyoyeva received a traditional Kyrgyz musical instrument, the ooz komuz, as a gift from Japarova.

The Altyn Balalyk rehabilitation centre is located in Cholpon-Ata on the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan.
