Footage released of President Aliyev’s meeting with residents in Lachin Video

Video footage of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev meeting with residents of the city of Lachin has been shared on his Instagram account.

On May 27, 2025, Ilham Aliyev visited Lachin District, inaugurating key infrastructure projects and meeting with residents. He opened the newly reconstructed Beylik village, providing homes for 90 families under the “First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories”.

President Aliyev also inaugurated the Lachin Electric Network Digital Control Center, enhancing the region's energy infrastructure. He laid the foundation for a cable car line, aiming to boost tourism. Additionally, he opened the “LATIFA” Lachin Garment Factory and the Lachin branch of the Pirshaghi Shoe Factory, contributing to local employment.

During his visit, President Aliyev met with residents in Lachin city and those relocated to Beylik village, handing over keys to their new homes. He also attended the opening of the “Lachin” Recreation Complex, providing leisure facilities for locals.

In the afternoon, President Aliyev held a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, discussing bilateral relations and regional cooperation. They announced a trilateral summit with Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to be held in Lachin on May 28, highlighting the strengthening ties among the three nations.
