France, by supporting Armenia, becomes complicit in its crimes against humanity Statement by Western Azerbaijan Community

19 November 2023 10:24

The Western Azerbaijan Community has stated that France, by unconditionally supporting Armenia,  is complicit in its crimes against humanity, including the violation of the right of return of Azerbaijanis.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a hasty statement on the decision of the International Court of Justice of November 17, 2023, trying to create an impression that this decision allegedly corresponds to France's position, the community said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.

"French diplomacy is well aware that the decision of the International Court of Justice simply lists the steps that Azerbaijan is already taking. Our country ensures the rights of all people living on its territory, regardless of their ethnic and religious affiliation. Azerbaijan has clearly stated its policy on the right of return of Armenians displaced from the Karabakh region.

Therefore, France's interference in this issue is inappropriate, groundless and provocative.

It would be good for France to make remarks on its activities and the Armenian government, which has not agreed even to the theoretical return of the expelled Azerbaijanis. By unconditionally supporting Armenia, France is complicit in its crimes against humanity, including the violation of the right of return of Azerbaijanis.

The community of West Azerbaijan will continue to expose France's attempts to promote its nefarious neocolonial goals in the region by abusing the supreme value of human rights," the statement reads.
