Gaza death toll reaches 32,782 as Israeli merciless campaign continues
Israel Occupation Forces (IOF) merciless campaign continues in Gaza, claiming tens of thousands of lives amid failure to push Israel to implement a ceasefire.
In the past 24 hours, the IOF killed 77 people while 108 people were injured. The number of wounded victims reached 75,298 amid the ongoing massacre, Morocco World News says
On Sunday Al Jazeera quoted Gaza’s media office, saying that Israel committed a “new massacre by bombing the tents of journalists and displaced people inside the walls of Al-Aqs a Martyrs Hospital.”
“We hold the US administration, the occupation, and the international community fully responsible for this crime for their military and political support for the occupation,” the Gaza media office.
The situation comes as reports suggest that a new Palestinian government is set to be sworn in today.
President Mahmoud Abbas named Mohammed Mustafa as the new prime minister amid US pressure to reform the authority.
Mustafa is replacing Mohammed Shtayyeh, who resigned in February.
The overall situation also comes amid Israel’s rejection of a ceasefire despite the resolution adopted a few days ago by the UN Security Council, demanding the end of Israeli aggression for the rest of the holy month of Ramadan.
On Saturday, officials from Egypt, France, and Jordan met in Cairo to discuss the situation in Gaza.
In a joint conference, foreign ministers of the three countries called for an “immediate and permanent ceasefires” as well as the release of all hostages held in Gaza.
France Minister Stephane Sejourne said that the French government will draft a resolution to the UN to set out a “political” settlement of the war.
