Geo: Pakistan strikes Afghan Taliban, 133 militants killed, 200 injured
Pakistan carried out a decisive and comprehensive response to unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban regime, killing 133 militants and injuring more than 200, Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar confirmed.
The operation, named Ghazab-lil-Haqq, was launched after the Taliban regime initiated unprovoked attacks along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, Geo News reports.
According to security sources, Pakistan’s armed forces destroyed multiple key Taliban posts, prompting the Afghan Taliban to raise white flags at several positions, reportedly.
The sources added that artillery and quadcopters were used to strike Taliban positions, substantially weakening their defences effectively.
Tarar said the military executed a "coordinated and effective operation" following cross-border hostilities, resulting in major losses for the Afghan Taliban.
He stated that 27 Taliban posts were destroyed and nine captured, and more than 80 tanks, artillery pieces, and armoured personnel carriers (APCs) were neutralised during the operation.

Tarar also noted that the Pakistan Air Force conducted strikes in Kandahar, Kabul, and Paktia, targeting Taliban military installations.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi warned that the Afghan Taliban would face serious consequences for their actions, calling the attacks "a cowardly act carried out under the cover of darkness" and emphasising that civilians were deliberately targeted.
Meanwhile, Iran offered to help "facilitate dialogue" to resolve tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready to provide any assistance necessary to facilitate dialogue and to enhance understanding and cooperation between the two countries," Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote in a post on X.
