German president highlights Azerbaijan as key partner
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has highlighted Azerbaijan's importance as a key partner for Berlin following talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the German capital.
Sharing details of the meeting in a post published on his official Facebook page, he said the talks focused on bilateral relations, the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as current regional and international issues, Caliber.Az reports.
"Their discussion focused on bilateral relations, the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and current regional and international issues. The Federal President welcomed the progress made in the peace and normalisation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and encouraged further steps towards a comprehensive peace agreement," he noted.
