06 January 2024 10:40
German prosecutors have begun investigating an attempt by farmers to block the arrival of a ferry carrying the country's Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck.
“This action has legal consequences for those involved in the blockade of the ferry pier in Schlütziel, Schleswig-Holstein: the responsible prosecutor's office in Flensburg opened an investigation on Friday,” Spiegel writes.
Prior to this, German government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said that farmers tried to block the arrival of the ferry on which the Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Economics of Germany Robert Habeck was. He added that such cruelty of political morals “should not leave anyone indifferent.”
