Greece refuses to supply Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine

Greek National Defence Minister Nikos Panayiotopoulos has said that his country will not send Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine.

Panayiotopoulos made the statement during a meeting of the parliamentary standing committee on national defence and foreign affairs, according to TASS.

The minister confirmed that Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov would arrive in Athens on April 6. Responding to a question about tanks, Panayiotopoulos said.

"Greece will not send Leopard 2A6s to Ukraine. It has sent several infantry fighting vehicles and is to send several more. Greece has sent ammunition of various calibres. If we have some excesses, we will help," the minister added, saying that Greece "supports any fight against any revisionism".
