Green energy agreements between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, and Romania - new chapter in energy security Presidential statement
The agreements on the production and transportation of green energy between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, and Romania will open a new chapter in energy security.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made the statement at the 9th ministerial meeting within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor Consultative Council and the 1st ministerial meeting within the framework of the Consultative Council on Green Energy, Azertag reports.
"December was a landmark month in terms of energy security thanks to two important events. Firstly, the signing of an agreement between Azerbaijan and Romania on the supply of gas, which will start soon. Thus, Romania joins the group of countries in the Southern Gas Corridor. The second significant event was the signing of an agreement on green energy production and transportation between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, and Romania, which will create additional synergies for our efforts and will actually open a new chapter in energy security", stressed the head of state.
