Hungarian president condoles with Azerbaijani counterpart over tragic plane crash
In a heartfelt message, Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, conveyed his deepest condolences to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan following the tragic plane crash that claimed numerous lives.
In his letter, President Sulyok expressed his sorrow on behalf of the Hungarian people, offering prayers for the victims and their families, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.
"On behalf of the people of Hungary and myself, allow me to extend my sincere condolences for the tragic plane crash. My prayers are with the victims and with their families. Please accept my sincere appreciation," he wrote.
On December 25, 2024, an Azerbaijani Airlines (AZAL) passenger flight travelling from Baku to Grozny crashed near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan. Of the 67 people on board, 38 lost their lives, while 29 survived. Preliminary investigations point to the possibility of external physical and technical interference as factors contributing to the crash.
