ICESCO chief extends birthday greetings to Azerbaijani president
Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO), has sent formal birthday greetings to Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan.
In his message, AlMalik extended congratulations on his own behalf and on behalf of ICESCO, highlighting President Aliyev’s leadership and contributions to the country’s progress and international standing, Azertag reports.
“On the occasion of Your Excellency’s birthday, I have the honour, on my own behalf and on behalf of ICESCO, to convey our sincere congratulations and highest expressions of esteem,” AlMalik wrote.
He praised the Azerbaijani president for his “distinguished leadership and unwavering commitment to the progress, stability, and international standing of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” noting that under Aliyev’s guidance, Azerbaijan has “continued to play an active and respected role within the Islamic world and beyond, greatly contributing to intercultural dialogue, peace, cooperation, and sustainable development.”
AlMalik also underlined the importance of ICESCO’s partnership with Azerbaijan, particularly in areas such as education, artificial intelligence, culture, and heritage, adding that the organisation remains committed to “further strengthening this partnership in pursuit of our shared objectives and common values.”
The message concluded with best wishes for the president, his family, and the people of Azerbaijan: “I extend my best wishes to Your Excellency, and to Your esteemed family, for good health, continued success, and lasting prosperity. I also wish the friendly people of Azerbaijan further progress and well-being under Your Excellency’s leadership.”
