IDF says eliminates dozens of Hezbollah, Hamas fighters in coordinated strikes
In the past 24 hours, Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have reportedly eliminated approximately 20 fighters from Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, alongside several dozen Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip.
According to statements from the IDF press office, the recent military actions were aimed at a residential building located in the Kafr Susa area of Damascus, Caliber.Az reports, citing IDF.
The statement highlighted that Israeli forces are continuing their focused ground operations against Hezbollah. Air Force operations have struck over 160 targets, including launch sites and militant infrastructure. The IDF confirmed that around 20 terrorists were neutralised during this period.
Simultaneously, the 162nd Division of the IDF has been conducting operational activities in the Jabalia area of Gaza, where they have reportedly eliminated numerous terrorists and dismantled terrorist facilities.
The Syrian Ministry of Defence has reported that Israeli airstrikes targeted both Damascus and a military site near the city of Homs.
One Syrian soldier was killed, and seven others were injured in the strikes, which specifically hit the central area of Kafr Susa. While the ministry confirmed damage from the Israeli attacks, it did not specify the extent of the destruction.
Earlier reports mentioned an explosion in Damascus, attributing it to an aerial strike that impacted a residential building. As of now, the Israeli military has yet to comment on the attacks carried out in Syrian territory.
