US right-wing activist Charlie Kirk’s widow vows to continue husband’s mission

13 September 2025 13:13

Erika Kirk, widow of the late conservative activist and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk, delivered a public address following her husband’s fatal shooting, which the organisation described as her “address to the nation.”

Speaking with emotion and resolve, Kirk pledged to carry forward her husband's mission, while urging young Americans to join TPUSA and embrace Christian faith, Caliber.Az reports via The Guardian

“To the evil-doers responsible for my husband’s assassination,” she said, “if you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world.”

“You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry,” she continued. “The movement my husband built will not die.”

Turning Point USA, a US-based conservative student organisation, announced that Charlie Kirk’s scheduled campus tour and the upcoming December conference, AmericaFest, would continue as planned. His media platforms, including his radio and podcast shows, are also set to remain active.

“His wisdom will endure,” Erika Kirk said.

She encouraged youth engagement with TPUSA, urging students to either join or start local chapters.

“If there isn’t a chapter, if you can’t find one, then start one,” she said, reiterating what she described as her late husband's frequent message: “If you want to get involved, go to TPUSA.com.”

Her speech also served as a call for religious revival among young Americans. Kirk encouraged listeners to “embrace the Christian faith” and to join “a Bible-believing church.”

“Now and for all eternity he will stand at his savior’s side,” she said of her husband, “wearing the glorious crown of a martyr.”

She concluded by quoting a Bible verse she said was among his favorites: “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for her.”

“The struggle my husband was committed to, and that I intend to continue,” she said, “was not just political, but above all it is spiritual.”

Charlie Kirk was a popular political figure in the American conservative movement, especially among younger audiences.

The fatal shooting occurred during a public debate event hosted by Kirk at Utah Valley University.
