India thanks Azerbaijan for evacuation of citizens from Iran

India has expressed gratitude to the government of Azerbaijan for helping evacuate its citizens from Iran, the Indian embassy in Baku reported on X.

“We convey our sincere appreciation to the authorities of Azerbaijan for facilitating safe transit of Indian nationals from Iran,” the embassy said.

As of 10:00 on March 30, 196 Indian citizens had been evacuated from Azerbaijan since 08:00 on February 28, bringing the total number of evacuees during this period to 3,094.
