India urges sides involved in Middle Eastern conflict to return to dialogue
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has announced that the government expressed concern over the recent escalation of conflict in the Middle East and is calling on the involved sides to return to the path of dialogue.
"We are deeply concerned about the escalating situation in the Middle East and its implications for peace and stability both in the region and beyond. We again urge all parties involved to exercise restraint and return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy," the ministry said, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The Indian ministry stated that ongoing military actions are not beneficial to anyone, and the civilian population continues suffering.
"Our missions in the region are maintaining contact with the Indian community," the ministry added.
On October 26, Israel conducted direct strikes on Iran in a significant response to Tehran's ballistic missile attack earlier this month. According to an Israeli military source, the strikes targeted military installations but did not impact energy infrastructure.
The attack resulted in the deaths of four members of Iran’s military, prompting Tehran to assert its right to defend itself. However, Iran seemed to downplay the overall impact of the strikes, stating that the damage at military sites was minimal.
