Iranian lawmaker rejects Trump pressure, reaffirms nuclear "red lines”
A senior Iranian lawmaker has rejected U.S. pressure over Iran’s nuclear programme and regional maritime policy, saying Tehran will not abandon what he described as its “red lines.”
Ebrahim Azizi, head of the national security commission of the Iranian parliament, said in a post on X that Iran would maintain its position on uranium enrichment, sanctions relief, and control over strategic waterways, Caliber.Az reports.

“Iran will not be pushed back by Trump’s rhetoric from its red lines: the right to enrich uranium, possession of enriched uranium, authority over the Strait of Hormuz, and the removal of sanctions,” Azizi wrote.
He also accused U.S. President Donald Trump of alternating between pressure and diplomacy in an attempt to break what he called a “strategic deadlock.”
“It is obvious Trump, seeking a way out of this strategic deadlock, alternates between issuing threats and appealing for an agreement,” he added.
