It is clarified that on the night of November 5, IDF troops sent planes to strike at the Hamas military complex, where command and control centres, as well as observation posts and additional terrorist infrastructure, were located.
"During the joint actions of the land, air and naval forces in Gaza, more than 2,500 terrorist targets were attacked," the military added.
Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellor of Germany from the Green Party and the country's economy minister Robert Habeck called for the destruction of the Palestinian Hamas movement.
According to him, the Hamas attack on Israel was a declaration of war on the "civilized world”.
"In fact, Hamas must be destroyed because it destroyed the peace process in the Middle East," the German official said.
Habeck believes that the Palestinians have the right to create their own state. He called the creation of two States — Palestine and Israel - the right decision. However, such a decision is not in the interests of Hamas, he said.
He added that the Palestinian movement wants to "unleash a war and destroy Israel." He believes that this will not happen, but "will bring unbearable suffering to their own population".
At the same time, Israeli forces detained at least 46 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli forces intensified raids, violence and arrests in the occupied West Bank last night.
So far, the Israeli army has detained at least 46 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian news agency WAFA.
In Ramallah, the Israeli army raided homes in the towns of Birzeit and Bil’in and detained at least 14 Palestinians.
At least 14 people were also arrested in Hebron.
Arrests also took place in Jenin with at least nine people being detained. Meanwhile, four more Palestinians were also detained in Nablus.
Against this background, protests are continuing to take place around the world in support of Palestine.
Abdel Hamid Siyam, a professor at Rutgers University, says governments will not be able to ignore these demonstrations as they grow in number and intensity.
“The demonstration in Washington on Saturday was enormous with almost a million people marching in the streets. The leadership cannot ignore this, especially because there are a lot of young voices there saying their leadership is not representing them. I think that will put some pressure especially with elections coming up,” Siyam told Al Jazeera.
“With demonstrations from South Korea to Brazil, Gaza has become the ‘nom de guerre’ of people fighting for justice. This cannot be ignored.”
