Israel claims killing of five militants in targeted Gaza strike VIDEO
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it has killed five militants in the Gaza Strip during operations it described as targeting individuals preparing attacks against Israeli troops.
According to an IDF statement, the operatives included several commanders and fighters linked to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Caliber.Az reports.

Identified militants (IDF account)
- Salem Faiz Hamed Krika — described as a fighter in Hamas’s Shejaiya battalion. The IDF said he was involved in preparing explosives and organising sniper attacks against Israeli forces.
- Saeed Faiz Saeed Shamali — identified as a commander in Hamas’s Nukhba unit, which Israel associates with elite assault operations.
- Ahmed Ali Abd al-Rahim Khalas — described as a sniper platoon commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (Palestinian Islamic Jihad). The IDF said he organised sniper fire against Israeli troops.
- Two additional Hamas commanders — the military said both were involved in planting explosive devices intended to target Israeli forces, but did not release their names.
The IDF said the strikes were carried out under the Southern Command and formed part of ongoing operations in Gaza aimed at countering what it called immediate threats.
