Israel strikes 230 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon Netanyahu Vows Continued Offensive
Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched strikes on 230 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.
The IDF continues its targeted operations against Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF's official Telegram channel.
As part of the ongoing ground operations, Israeli forces discovered and destroyed a significant cache of weapons. Additionally, the IDF reported the elimination of several dozen Hezbollah militants, including a group that had fired anti-tank missiles at Israeli forces.
During the night of October 14 to 15, the IDF announced that Hezbollah had fired approximately 115 rockets at Israel over the course of the previous day.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will continue to strike Hezbollah targets throughout Lebanon, including in the capital, Beirut, according to the Prime Minister's office.
"We will relentlessly strike Hezbollah across all parts of Lebanon, including Beirut," Netanyahu affirmed during his visit to an IDF military base near the city of Binyamina, which had recently been attacked by a Hezbollah drone.
The prime minister emphasised that Israel has already demonstrated its resolve in recent days and will continue to do so in the coming days. He further stated that Israel is engaged in a "difficult struggle" against Iran and its allies, underscoring the regional dimensions of the ongoing conflict.
While acknowledging the heavy toll Israel has paid, Netanyahu also highlighted the significant successes achieved by the IDF in recent operations. His comments come amid escalating tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border, with Hezbollah and Israel locked in a series of retaliatory strikes.
On September 23, the Israeli Defense Forces announced the commencement of a "preemptive offensive operation" against Hezbollah's military infrastructure in Lebanon.
On September 28, it was revealed that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah had been killed in an Israeli airstrike. The strike, carried out by the Israeli Air Force, targeted an underground Hezbollah headquarters in southern Beirut. Hezbollah later confirmed the death of Nasrallah. During the operation, the IDF dropped 85 one-ton bombs on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
