King Charles III congratulates Azerbaijan on Independence Day
Charles III congratulated Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.
In his congratulatory message, the British monarch conveyed “heartfelt congratulations and warmest good wishes” on behalf of himself and Queen Camilla to the Azerbaijani president and citizens of the republic, Caliber.Az reports, citing state media.
King Charles III described the occasion as “a valued opportunity to reflect upon the enduring friendship between our nations,” while expressing satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations between United Kingdom and Azerbaijan.
“I am deeply encouraged by the strength of our bilateral ties and remain committed to fostering even closer cooperation in the years to come,” the monarch noted.
The King also highlighted the importance of joint efforts in addressing global challenges, particularly climate-related issues and environmental protection.
“As we face the shared challenges of our time, particularly those concerning the climate and the preservation of our natural world, I am hopeful that our countries may continue to work together in pursuit of meaningful and lasting solutions,” the message read.
Concluding the letter, King Charles III and Queen Camilla extended their wishes for “peace, prosperity, and well-being in the year ahead” to President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan.
