The announcement came after Kuwaiti firefighters brought under control two fires that broke out at separate sites in the country’s south following Iranian strikes, state-run KUNA news agency reported.
Kuwait Fire Force spokesperson Mohammed Al-Gharib said emergency teams had contained the fires and that there were no casualties. The damage was limited to property, he said.
On July 17, Iran said it had targeted U.S. military assets in Kuwait, Oman, Syria, Jordan and Bahrain in retaliatory strikes, claiming damage to air bases, radar systems, weapons depots and military aircraft.
