Minneapolis shooting leaves three dead, including suspected gunman VIDEO

Two people were killed, while the suspected shooter also died following a shooting at an apartment building in downtown Minneapolis.

Five people were wounded by gunfire, including two Minneapolis police officers, while another officer suffered other injuries. All three officers are in stable condition, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

A 911 call was received shortly after 4:30 p.m. Three minutes later, police officers arrived at the high-rise building and found the victims. They later went to the top floor, where heavy smoke severely limited visibility.

One of the victims died at the scene, while the second died at a hospital. The circumstances and cause of the suspected shooter’s death have not yet been determined.

The FBI has joined the investigation and is assisting local authorities. Residents of the nearby Loring Park neighbourhood were urged to avoid the area.
