Kyiv repels over 30 Russian attacks in 24 hours
The Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled over 30 Russian attacks in four directions on May 2.
“Tonight, Russian troops once again attacked us with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. Information on the impact of this attack is still being clarified,” Ukrainska Pravda quotes the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff as saying in a report.
Over the past 24 hours, Russia launched three missile strikes, 39 airstrikes and 63 rocket launchers at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements. Civilians were injured, and private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
According to the report, over the past 24 hours, the aviation of the Defence Forces carried out eight strikes on areas of concentration of enemy personnel, while units of rocket forces and artillery struck one command post, 12 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, four ammunition depots, one air defence facility and another important enemy target.
In addition, the General Staff said that the Ukrainian troops have eliminated 520 Russian soldiers over the past 24 hours, bringing the overall Russian personnel losses to 191,940 since the start of the full-scale invasion.
