Two hurt as gyrocopter goes down in Polish village

23 July 2025 15:49

A gyrocopter crash in the Polish village of Jeromin, situated in the Łódź Province, has left two individuals injured.

According to Polish media sources, the incident occurred on Wednesday, July 23, when the small aircraft came down in a meadow, Caliber.Az reports.

On board were two men, both approximately 50 years old. One of the injured was transported to an emergency hospital for treatment, while the other declined hospitalisation.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the crash site. Firefighters secured the area by preparing a landing zone for a rescue helicopter and disconnecting the gyrocopter’s battery. Fortunately, there was no fuel leakage or related hazards reported.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that the accident may have happened during, or as a result of, an attempted emergency landing.
