IDF unleashes 120 strikes, eliminates militant cell in northern Gaza VIDEO
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) carried out strikes on over 120 military objectives across the Gaza Strip within the last 24 hours, according to a statement released by the army's press service on July 23.
“Over the past 24 hours, IDF forces have struck more than 120 targets in the Gaza Strip, including radical cells, military installations, weapons depots, underground infrastructure, and other terrorist infrastructure,” the statement noted.
The IDF also reported the elimination of a radical group that had been attempting to place an explosive device in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The conflict escalated on October 7, 2023, when Israel was hit by an unprecedented barrage of rockets launched from the Gaza Strip. Following the rocket assault, Hamas militants crossed into Israeli border areas, attacking both military and civilian targets and seizing more than 200 hostages.
In retaliation, the IDF initiated Operation Iron Swords, which has included airstrikes on a range of targets—including civilian sites—and the imposition of a full blockade on the Gaza Strip.
