Azerbaijan to gift Kyrgyzstan modern children’s hospital in Bishkek
Azerbaijan will construct a children's hospital in Bishkek as a gift to Kyrgyzstan, following an agreement reached during high-level talks between the two countries' leaders.
According to Caliber.Az, citing Kyrgyz media, the announcement was made by Kanybek Tumanbayev, Chief of Staff to the President of Kyrgyzstan.
Tumanbayev stated that the decision to build the hospital was finalised during negotiations between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
While the hospital was originally planned for construction in Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul region, the location was later shifted to the capital, Bishkek, following President Zhaparov’s official visit to Azerbaijan.
Preparatory work for the project is currently underway. The upcoming facility is expected to be a fully equipped, modern children's hospital.
“The hospital will be a gift from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan,” Tumanbayev emphasised.
