Minister: Int'l interest in Azerbaijani military equipment high after Karabakh war

Azerbaijani Defence Industry Minister Madat Guliyev has said that significant interest in Azerbaijani military equipment arose worldwide following the Karabakh war.

There are a lot of orders for the export of Azerbaijani-made weapons, APA quotes the minister as saying on the sidelines of the 4th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX and the 13th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment Securex Caspian in Baku.

"Taking this into account, more than 179 different types of Azerbaijani weapons are showcased at the ADEX exhibition, including tested weapons. Some weapons are not showcased at the exhibition," he said.

The minister also noted that new enterprises had been created in the defence industry.
