OSCE chief lauds Baku-Yerevan border demarcation agreement as "step in right direction"
The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Maltese Foreign Minister Jan Borg, announced on X that a step in the right direction has been taken regarding the demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, per Caliber.Az.

According to the agreements reached following the 8th meeting of the State Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Commission of the Republic of Armenia on the Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the expert groups of the two countries on the border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia have started the process of coordinate adjustment based on geodetic measurements.
As of May 6, 2024, 40 border pillars have been installed on the border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia on the basis of geodetic measurements within the framework of the coordinate adjustment works on the border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia. The work of the expert groups of the two States is ongoing.
