Over million dollars stolen from Russian plane crashed in Afghanistan
Some $1.2 million was stolen after a Falcon 10 plane crashed in Afghanistan's Badakhshan province.
The first group to arrive at the crash site is related to the chief of staff of the Taliban armed forces, Hasht e Subh reports, citing sources in the region.
According to the publication, after the theft, the Taliban governor in Badakhshan province, on the orders of the group’s Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Hassan Akhund, appointed a commission to establish the facts and investigate the case.
The investigation commission is headed by the head of the Taliban intelligence department in Badakhshan province, according to the Afghan publication.
Neither Taliban representatives nor Russian officials have yet commented on this report.
