Participants of Shusha Media Forum visit Imaret Palace in Aghdam
Participants of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum visited the Imaret Palace Complex in the city of Aghdam, where they explored the rich cultural heritage of Karabakh and learned about the history of the ancient city.
The guests also had the opportunity to witness firsthand the large-scale reconstruction efforts underway in the region, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The Imaret Palace Complex was officially reopened on September 19, 2024, following extensive restoration works. Restoration and archaeological research began in 2023 with the involvement of both local and international experts. Covering an area of 3.3 hectares, the complex includes ceremonial halls, mausoleums, a historic cemetery, an equestrian facility showcasing Karabakh horses, and a modern visitor centre.
For the record, the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, held under the theme “Digital Pathways: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of AI”, opened on July 19 and will continue until July 21.
