Pashinyan: Armenia has no intent to harm Russia
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that Yerevan has no intention of harming relations with Russia, describing the current changes in bilateral ties as a “positive” and “inevitable” transformation.
Speaking to journalists during his party’s election campaign ahead of June’s parliamentary vote, Pashinyan reiterated that Armenia’s foreign policy is guided solely by national interests, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
He stressed that the ongoing evolution in relations with Moscow should not be interpreted through a political or emotional lens, but rather as an objective process reflecting broader regional and geopolitical shifts.
“We will continue to deepen and develop our relations with the Russian Federation, in the understanding that an inevitable transformation of these relations is taking place,” he said.
“This is not a matter of political preference. It is an objective process. Yes, there is a transformation underway, and I assess it positively,” Pashinyan added.
