Patriarch Kirill: Russia - fighter against “godlessness”

Head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill has said that Russia is playing an epoch-making role in the fight against godlessness.

Patriarch Kirill made these remarks after a service in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Kaliningrad, Lenta.ru reports.

The Patriarch said that the churches are full of people in Russia because the Russians were able to combine God, scientific knowledge and modern culture in their consciousness. This is Russia’s civilisational achievement.

The head of the Russian Orthodox Church noted that Russia usually faces strong resistance due to its role.

“We won’t stop talking about it because it is true,” he added.
