IDF reports dozens of projectiles fired from Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it detected multiple projectile launches from southern Lebanon overnight, describing the incidents as part of continued cross-border hostilities involving Hezbollah.

According to the IDF, more than 50 projectiles were fired toward Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon during the night, Caliber.Az reports.

The military said it carried out retaliatory strikes against several locations it identified as Hezbollah-linked infrastructure, including rocket launch sites, weapons storage facilities, and command centers in southern Lebanon.

The IDF stated that the attacks from Lebanon constituted repeated violations of a cease-fire arrangement, and said it would respond to any further incidents involving threats to Israeli civilians or military personnel.

“In order to remove threats and in response to Hezbollah’s blatant violations, throughout the night, the IDF struck dozens of Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites and terrorists in southern Lebanon,” the army said in a statement.

The military added that it remains committed to the ceasefire framework in accordance with government directives, while continuing operations aimed at preventing further attacks.
