Polish President Andrzej Duda has officially extended the stay of US, UK, and Canadian military forces in Poland until December 31, 2024.
The decision was announced by the National Security Bureau of Poland, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
Under the new decree, the US military presence in Poland will include up to 6,500 soldiers, while the UK will maintain a force of up to 700 soldiers, and Canada will keep up to 350 soldiers stationed in the country. These forces will remain in Poland along with their weapons and combat equipment.
Over 10,000 US troops are currently stationed in Poland. The US had previously doubled its military contingent in February 2022 from 5,000 to 10,000 soldiers in response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and regional security concerns.

US Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski emphasized the continued strong military presence in Poland, which underscores the US commitment to NATO’s collective defence and regional stability.
