Ukraine's Donetsk endures intense shelling as civilians flee front lines PHOTO
As of the morning of January 10, Russian forces conducted 20 shelling attacks on settlements across Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
Vadym Filashkin, the Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, noted that the attacks caused widespread damage across multiple districts, Caliber.Az reports.
In Pokrovsk district, two administrative buildings and two infrastructure facilities in Dobropillia were hit. In Bilozerka, a five-story building was destroyed, and eight apartment buildings sustained damage.
In Kramatorsk district, the city of Slavyansk saw damage to 11 private homes, four vehicles, power lines, and a gas pipeline. In the village of Zelenoe, one person was killed, another injured, and five houses along with power lines were damaged.
Other affected areas include Druzhkivka, where three houses were damaged, and Kindrativka, where one person was injured. In Bakhmut district, a house in Sviato-Pokrovske was damaged.
Authorities report that 150 civilians, including 35 children, were evacuated from front-line areas to safer locations. Emergency services continue to assess the extent of the destruction and provide assistance to affected communities.
