Poland's PM calls for unbreachable border with Belarus
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has emphasised the need for an impenetrable fence along the border with Belarus.
Tusk made these remarks during a recent Civic Platform party congress, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
"We all faced a dual necessity: to curb illegal migration at the Belarus border while simultaneously preventing any dramas or tragedies. There is no more humanitarian policy for preventing such incidents along the Belarus border than successfully securing that border," the politician stated.
He emphasised that in recent months, the fence has been continuously reinforced, making it impossible to bend the bars with a jack as it was possible before.
Earlier, Tusk announced that Poland intends to temporarily suspend asylum provisions for migrants. He emphasised that Poland must maintain full control over those who enter the country. The Polish people want to welcome individuals who are eager to work, pay taxes, and integrate into Polish society.
