Russia launches drone attacks on multiple Ukrainian regions from four directions
Russian forces launched a wave of drone attacks on Ukrainian territory, deploying 59 Shahed-type strike drones alongside various dummy drones.
The drones were reportedly launched from four directions within Russia: Kursk, Shatalovo, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
Ukrainian air defence forces, supported by electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire groups, successfully intercepted most of the incoming drones.
Preliminary data indicates that, Ukrainian air defence forces had shot down or suppressed 47 enemy drones in the north and east , while 12 drones struck nine locations on August 26.
The attacks triggered explosions in several northern and eastern regions. In Sumy, a series of blasts was reported overnight, prompting military warnings about drone activity. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, morning drone strikes caused a fire, damaging a private house and a car.
Meanwhile, the Kherson Regional State Administration issued a warning about heightened drone activity along the Kherson–Mykolaiv highway, urging residents to avoid travel in the area.
