Polish president reaffirms commitment to stronger ties with Azerbaijan

Polish President Karol Nawrocki has reaffirmed Poland’s commitment to expanding relations with Azerbaijan, highlighting continued openness to deepening cooperation across multiple sectors in a congratulatory letter marking Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.

In a letter, addressed to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Polish leader conveyed his wishes “for every success and prosperity to your country, all its citizens, and personally to Your Excellency,” Caliber.Az reports per state media. 

“I assure you of Poland's continued openness to the further development of these relations, encompassing all areas of cooperation, both in the bilateral format and within international organizations, including the European Union,” Nawrocki wrote.

In his message, the Polish leader stressed that Poland and Azerbaijan are linked by “traditionally friendly ties and dynamically developing cooperation.” He also underscored Warsaw’s readiness to further advance relations in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

“The Republic of Azerbaijan remains an important partner for Poland in the South Caucasus region, and in the face of significant geopolitical changes in the world, the importance of our cooperation may become even greater,” he said.

Nawrocki also extended an invitation for President Aliyev to visit Warsaw at a mutually convenient time, expressing hope for continued high-level engagement between the two countries.

“Once again, I extend through Your Excellency my heartfelt congratulations to all citizens of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their National Day and wish you continued success, particularly in the further development of your country, strengthening its sovereignty, and building good-neighbourly relations in the region,” the letter concluded.
