President Aliyev addresses congratulatory letter to UAE counterpart on National Day
On December 2, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on the occasion of the UAE National Day.
Through the letter, President Aliyev highlighted the dynamic and comprehensive development of Azerbaijan-UAE relations, emphasizing their foundation on "brotherhood, mutual respect, trust, and support," Caliber.Az reports via Azertag.
The head of state also praised the strong political dialogue between the two nations, noting it as a cornerstone for expanding cooperation across various sectors.
“Your [Al Nahyan] two visits to Azerbaijan this year are a testament to the high level of our fraternal relations,” President Aliyev wrote.
The Azerbaijani president pointed out that bilateral ties have entered a "qualitatively new phase," with notable progress in energy collaboration, particularly in renewable energy.
“The significant steps we have taken in the energy sector, particularly in the field of green energy, are gratifying. In this regard, I would like to specifically highlight the effective activities of your country’s Masdar company in the renewable energy sector in Azerbaijan,” he stated.
President Aliyev also underscored the successful partnership between Azerbaijan’s COP29 Presidency and the UAE’s COP28 Presidency, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing global climate action. “I believe that our countries will continue working together to advance climate action,” he noted.
Expressing confidence in the future of bilateral ties, President Aliyev concluded, “I am confident that we will successfully continue our joint efforts to strengthen the Azerbaijan-UAE friendship and reliable partnership, and to expand our cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally.”
