UAE minister outlines vision for sustainable future at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week photos / Updated
Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates, outlined the country's policies and initiatives in the realm of sustainability during his speech at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
He also emphasized the increasing significance of the event as a major global platform for sustainability discussions, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Following the address, the Zayed Sustainability Prize awards ceremony took place, with winners gathering for a commemorative photo.
Established in 2008, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week has evolved into a key international platform for dialogues on sustainable development. The event, which focuses on global collaboration, leadership, economic growth, technology, and innovation, attracts an array of global figures, including heads of state, government leaders, politicians, business executives, and youth. This year’s edition is being attended by 13 heads of state, over 140 ministers, and numerous other officials.

The official opening ceremony of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week has commenced in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is participating in the event, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Note that, earlier, President Ilham Aliyev and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have discussed the growing strategic partnership between their countries during a meeting in Abu Dhabi.
The leaders emphasized strong political ties, expanding economic cooperation, and mutual contributions to global initiatives, including the successful COP29 summit. Both presidents reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional and global challenges.
President Aliyev praised the UAE's involvement in COP29, while also highlighting investments in Azerbaijan's renewable energy sector and the ongoing collaboration in the energy sector. They underscored the stability and peace between the two nations.
