President Aliyev: Azerbaijan's tourism potential grows year by year UPDATE
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said that Azerbaijan’s tourism potential is growing year by year.
The president made the remarks during a meeting with Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula One Group, and Flavio Briatore, Advisor of Formula One Group on November 22, in Baku.
The meeting emphasized the importance of holding F1 races successfully in Azerbaijan and it was noted that the interest to these races is increasing in the world and a lot of tourists visit Azerbaijan to watch the competitions.
Stefano Domenicali, and Flavio Briatore said they would do their best to further develop these competitions in Azerbaijan, adding that they try to attract more international and local public to the competitions.
They underlined that already the Baku city ring is one of the most beautiful tracks of Formula One World Championship, and beautiful and modern infrastructure has been created in the city to host these competitions.
Taking into consideration big international interest to Azerbaijan, the meeting participants exchanged views on inviting a great number of famous people to the country to watch the F1 races.
Domenicali and Briatore said they were impressed by the beauty, cleanliness and lighting system of Baku and sent their greetings to President Ilham Aliyev. They underlined that they would do their best to spread information about the beauty of the capital city at an international level.
Congratulating the head of the state and in connection with the large-scale restoration and construction projects carried out in the liberated lands from the occupation, the guests noted the importance of activities carried out in these territories to ensure road safety, in particular, the construction of thousands of kilometers of new roads.
