President Aliyev: Azerbaijani, EU relations developing very successfully

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stressed that bilateral ties between Baku and the European Union have been developing very successfully. 

Speaking during a joint press statement with President of the European Council António Costa on March 11, President Ilham Aliyev noted that the sides “are in the very active phase of cooperation,” Caliber.Az reports per local media.

“We pay a very big importance to your visit and I am sure it will play an important role in further development of our bilateral ties, which have been developing very successfully especially in recent times. We have a very active dialogue,” the Azerbaijani leader said.

Speaking about energy cooperation, President Aliyev pointed out the great potential of renewables. 

“Another area of our energy cooperation and partnership is renewables, which has great potential,” teh head of state said. “We are investing largely into wind, solar, and hydropower."
