President Aliyev pays tribute to women on International Women's Day with special publication
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev marked International Women's Day by sharing a special publication on social media, celebrating the contributions of women in Azerbaijan.

On March 5, he also sent a heartfelt message to the women of Azerbaijan, congratulating them on the occasion, per Caliber.Az.
In his message, Aliyev extended his best wishes to all Azerbaijani women, expressing hopes for their good health, happiness, and success. He described Azerbaijani women as the moral backbone of society, noting their noble ideals and unwavering role in preserving the country’s cultural and spiritual treasures. Aliyev highlighted the strong will, patriotism, and dedication of Azerbaijani mothers, recognizing their significant impact on the nation's history and struggles.
Aliyev also pointed to the remarkable achievement of Azerbaijani women gaining the right to vote and stand for election earlier than women in many leading countries, marking a milestone in modern history. He praised their pioneering efforts in diverse fields like culture, science, education, and healthcare, noting how these contributions stood out in the Muslim East. The president acknowledged that today’s young women in Azerbaijan continue to respect these traditions and uphold the values passed down through generations.
In his message, Aliyev also emphasized the active role of women in the country’s national state-building process. He praised their efforts in social, economic, and cultural development, acknowledging their significant contributions to strengthening Azerbaijan's power and improving the welfare of the people.
