President Aliyev congratulates Emir and people of Kuwait on National Day
Azerbaijan’s President, Ilham Aliyev, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait on the occasion of the country’s National Day, celebrated on February 25.
In a letter addressed to the Emir, Aliyev wrote, “On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I am pleased to extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to your entire nation on the occasion of February 25 – Kuwait’s National Day,” Caliber.Az reports.
Aliyev emphasised the importance of the close ties between Azerbaijan and Kuwait, stating, “We attach great importance to Azerbaijan-Kuwait interstate relations. We are delighted with the dynamic development of our friendly ties and cooperation, which are based on strong traditions.”
The Azerbaijani President highlighted the significant role of their political relations, which have helped enrich the collaboration across various sectors. “The high level of our political relations plays a significant role in enriching our collaboration with new content across all areas. I would also like to particularly highlight our close cooperation within international organizations.”
Looking to the future, Aliyev expressed his optimism about the continued growth of cooperation between the two nations. “I am confident that, through our joint efforts, cooperation between our countries will continue to develop and strengthen both bilaterally and multilaterally in line with the will of our peoples.”
In his message, Aliyev concluded with well wishes for both the Emir and the people of Kuwait, saying, “On this remarkable day, I wish you a long life, good health, and success in your endeavors, and the friendly people of Kuwait everlasting peace and prosperity.”
Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan congratulated Kuwait on its National Day on X.
"Our most sincere wishes and congratulations to friendly Kuwait and its people on the occasion of National Day! Happy National Day, Kuwait!," Ministry said.
